BIOGRAPHY
Born in Chesterfield Derbyshire I had my first guitar aged 11, it was a Broadway stratocaster style guitar It wasn't a great success as I had no amplifier ! Hey but I could pretend to be the Shadows or the Beatles in front of the mirror.
In my early years I had a keen interest in sport especially football and at the age of 15 became an Apprentice Professional footballer with my local club. Unfortunately my career was ended early after a bad knee injury however I continued to play part time whilst taking my coaching badges.

Music continued to be a part of my life and after a successful audition I became a lead singer with a band which led to working for many years in bands ,trios, duo,s and as a solo vocalist.

Whilst working with bands I continued to coach football and took a break away from music when I moved to Manage a professional team in Malta.

On returning to the UK I rekindled my love of music and worked for a number of years back in bands before retiring from the music/club scene.

At the age of 62 and now living happily in Nottingham with my partner I decided I would learn to play lead guitar rather than the odd chord on an acoustic guitar. Although playing by ear is my method of playing my time as a singer has made this a lot easier.
I now have a number of videos on Youtube and a selection of nice guitars some shown on my equipment page oh and of course a very understanding partner especially about my love of guitars.

The picture on the right is a photo of me with my other passion ,Boats ! the picture is me sitting on my first river cruiser a Freeman 1970's classic, moored on the Norfolk broads.

I need to say a few thanks after gaining inspiration from a number of fellow youtubers including Phil McGarrick, Dave Monk, Steve Reynolds to name just a few Oh and of course Hank Marvin and the Shadows.
